Bothwell named SCIAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif —On Monday, Oct. 24, Gil Bothwell was named SCIAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

Bothwell broke the school record for the 8k at this past week's John Elder's Invite at Cal State Fullerton. He finished with a time of 25:25.3, shattering the previous record by 28 seconds. 

He placed 32nd out of 201 runners. His previous best time was 26:39.4 which he set last year at the UC Riverside Invite.

Bothwell and cross country will return to competition this weekend at the SCIAC Championships in Claremont.
