Carlson leads cross country at regionals

SPOKANE, Wash. – Annika Carlson had another solid performance to end the season and lead the Chapman University cross country teams at the NCAA Division III West Region Championships on Saturday. The Panthers sent seven runners to the regional meet, hosted by Whitworth University.

Carlson finished 39th in the women's 6k race, crossing the finish line at 23:08.2. Olivia Armstrong wasn't far behind at 23:14.6 to finish 43rd overall.

Cole Cooper was the men's top finisher in the 8k race. He took 69th overall as he finished at 26:28.9.

The 2022 cross country season comes to an end at the Regional Championships. The Panthers open the track & field season on Jan. 28.
