Chapman University sophomore RHP Brian Rauh has been named to the NCAA Division III All-America first team by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) for the second year in a row. He has also earned West Region Pitcher of the Year honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) for the second consecutive season.

The Chapman University baseball team needed two wins on Tuesday to capture another national championship trophy. It got one win only. The Panthers forced the “if necessary” game with a 15-4 win over No. 1-ranked Marietta College (Ohio) at the NCAA Division III finals at Fox Cities Stadium, but lost in the championship game to Pioneers 18-5, falling just shy of the grand prize.

The No. 1-ranked Marietta College baseball team proved exactly why it is the favorite to win the NCAA Division III baseball championship on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers handed Chapman University its first defeat of the postseason 9-4 at Fox Cities Stadium, sending the Panthers to an elimination game on Sunday.

The No. 15-ranked Chapman University baseball team opened a crucial three-game series against fellow West Region independent University of Dallas with a pair of wins on Saturday afternoon at Hart Park. The Panthers got a 6-5 walk-off win in the first game thanks to an RBI single in the bottom of the 11th inning from junior IF Tyler Hadzinsky. Senior RHP Jordan Sigman capped the day with seven innings of four-hit ball in a 10-1 victory in game two.
