Chapman Athletics hosted another Town Hall on July 28 for student-athletes and their families to deliver updates and answer question on the impact of the cancellation of high-risk sports through the end of the school year.

In accordance with public health guidance and safety standards, as well as NCAA Resocialization recommendations, the SCIAC Presidents have unanimously agreed to cancel conference competition for NCAA categorized high-contact risk sports in the fall semester.
Chapman sets new high for SCIAC All-Academic selections

Nearly half of Chapman University student-athletes were recognized when the SCIAC released its annual All-Academic list today. Chapman set a new program high with 250 SCIAC All-Academic selections, far surpassing the previous high of 221.

Chapman suspends face-to-face classes and athletic events

Junior Dillon Keefe was again recognized as an All-American, this time by D3football.com. The website dedicated to Division III football chose Keefe as a First Team All-American linebacker.
Spriggs earns Honorable Mention for Comeback Player of the Year Award

The winners of the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award have been announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America in association with the Associated Press and the Fiesta Bowl Organization with Chapman University senior Hunter Spriggs earning one of the six Honorable Mentions.
AFCA honors Owens as Regional Coach of the Year

A year of firsts continued into the award season as head coach Bob Owens was honored as the American Football Coaches Association’s Region 5 Coach of the Year – the first such honor of Owens’ career.

A program record seven Panthers earned spots on the D3football.com All-West Region teams. Head coach Bob Owens headlined the selections as the Coach of the Year with junior Dillon Keefe being selected to the First Team.

A historic season has led to the first career All-American honor for junior linebacker Dillon Keefe. Keefe was selected the American Football Coaches Association’s All-America Second Team following his monster season.
Historic season finishes with Second Round loss to Saint John's

The historic run for the 2019 Chapman University football team came to a close with a 55-26 loss to No. 8 Saint John’s in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship. The Panthers finished the season with a 10-1 record overall – setting the new program record for wins in a season.

No. 12 Chapman hosts No. 8 Saint John’s in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship. Kickoff is scheduled for noon Pacific time in the first matchup between the two programs.
Tickets, parking available for football's second round game

Tickets are now on sale for the first postseason home game in Chapman football history. The Panthers are hosting Linfield on Sat., Nov. 23 at noon in Chapman Stadium.
Football advances after triple OT thriller

The Chapman University football team had never had an undefeated regular season but went 9-0 in 2019. They went on the road for their first two postseason appearances but were chosen to a host a First Round game in 2019. They had never won a playoff game but took down No. 20 Linfield in 68-65 in triple overtime to advance to the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship.
