Panthers earn back-to-back academic awards

ORANGE, Calif. - The Chapman University women's swimming and diving team has achieved team Scholar All-America status from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the Spring 2011 semester. This is the second semester in a row the Panthers have earned the honor.

Chapman's team grade point average of 3.37 put it in the top-50 amongst all Division III programs. The Panthers first earned Scholar All-America honors for the Fall 2010 semester – the first-ever team academic honor for Chapman swimmers.

The CSCAA is the oldest coaches association in the United States. The team Scholar All-America Award is presented to college swimming and diving teams whose combined grade point average is 3.0 or higher. A total of 94 NCAA Division III programs were honored by the CSCAA for Spring 2011.
