Every team over a 3.2, 270 recognized as SCIAC All-Academic

The SCIAC recognized 270 Chapman University student-athletes on its annual All-Academic list. Collectively, Panther student-athletes raised the bar for academic achievement as every team achieved a 3.2 team GPA or better.

Swim & dive teams earn Scholar All-America honors

Both teams and two individuals were recognized as Scholar All-Americans for the Spring of 2023. Both Reid Omilian and Cole Kershner earned the individual honors for academic and athletic success while both team were recognized for their respective academic achievements.

Chapman Athletics and the Chapman Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted the Second Annual Student-Athlete Awards with 21 team and individual awards handed out to honor on and off field achievements.
All-American Omilian makes Chapman history

Reid Omilian finished his fantastic freshman season as a Second Team All-American after placing 13th on the 3-meter board on Saturday. Omilian took 18th on the 1-meter board earlier in the week.

Reid Omilian finished his 1-meter dive season coming in 18th place with a score of 420.2 through 11 dives at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at Greensboro College on Thursday, March 16.
Four swimmers recognized on CSC Academic All-District Teams

Four Chapman University swimmers qualified for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Avery Hall and Meghan Kluck earned the distinction for the High Tops while Simon Jacobs and Cole Kershner were recognized for the Low Tops.
Omilian qualifies for National Championships

An impressive showing at the NCAA Diving Regionals, a fourth place finish in the one-meter dive and sixth in the three-meter, will send Reid Omilian to compete at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Greensboro, N.C. in March.
Both teams place fourth, Suess leads Coaching Staff of the Year

In the first year under head coach Juliet Suess, the Chapman University swim & dive teams have broken over three dozen school records and both placed fourth at the SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships. Suess led the SCIAC Coaching Staff of the Year for women’s swimming & diving as selected by the conference coaches after a strong showing all season.

Another All-SCIAC relay and two more school records highlighted day three of the SCIAC Championships for the Chapman University swim & dive teams. The High Tops closed the gap on Occidental for third place and the Low Tops solidified their holding on fourth place.

A championship victory for Cole Kershner in the 50 free headlined a day of three broken school records and three All-SCIAC finishes in Swimming & Diving’s second day of the SCIAC Championships at East Los Angeles College.

The Chapman University swim & dive teams opened the SCIAC Championships with a school record and a podium finish. McKenzie Abbott also scored the Panthers’ first points as a finalist on the 3-meter board.

The Chapman University swimming & diving teams open competition at the SCIAC Championships tomorrow at East LA College. The Panthers head into the championship meet for the first time under head coach Juliet Suess after the most successful duals seasons in school history.
Swim & dive wraps up dual season at Occidental

The Chapman University swimming & diving teams concluded the dual season with a meet at Occidental as the High Tops captured the dual win. The High Tops improved to 7-1 in the dual season with a 180-118 victory and the Low Tops fellow narrowly fell 151.5-144.5.

The Chapman University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams earned Scholar All-America recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. The award recognizes collegiate teams for academic achievement in the Fall semester.
Swimming sweeps senior day
January 28, 2023
Despite the lighthearted attitude of a senior day, the Panther swimmers and divers brought intensity to the Allred Aquatics Center. The men and women took down Redlands and the College of Idaho Yotes 216-83 and 245-25 respectively, and the men captured their first ever win over Redlands in program history, 154-140, and a 201-82 win over the Yotes.
