Case earns All-SCIAC honors for the second time

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University senior distance swimmer Julie Case has earned All-SCIAC honors for a second year in a row after taking second place in the women's 1,650-yard freestyle at the 2014 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships at the Brenda Vila Aquatics Center last month. All-Conference honors are awarded to each of the top-three finishers in every event.

Case broke both her own school record in the 1,650-, as well as in the 500-yard freestyle when she set a new school precedent with a time of 5:03.81. Her time of 17:21.74 in the 1,650 free earned her a 'B' cut qualification for the NCAA Division III national championships.

Case finished her career owning school records in four individual events (200-, 500-, 1,000- and 1,650-freestyle), as well as being a member of two relays (400- and 800-freestyle).  She is tied for the most individual (four) and total (six) school records in Chapman history.
