Toole's record-setting dives lead to SCIAC weekly honor

Freshman diver Kellyn Toole made an NCAA qualifying mark demolished the previous school record with a 451.12 on the 1-meter board this week at Whittier. Chapman's previous school record was 427.85, set by Kayla Dimicco in 2015. The score came on her first 11-dive event of her career. Toole posted a 252.37 in her first six dives to win the event in the dual meet.

The Colorado native has won first place on the one-meter in four consecutive meets. Toole's hardest dive on Saturday was a back one and a half summersault with a difficulty of 2.3, and she earned a score of 13.5. Her highest-scoring dive of the day was a forward one and a half summersault, earning a 16 from the judges on a dive with a 1.7 difficulty.

Toole has also won first place in three of four meets on the three-meter diving board continuing to improve her scores in each competition.
