Swim & dive teams honored as CSCAA Scholar All-America team

ORANGE, Calif. –The Chapman University men's and women's swimming & diving teams were both recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America as Scholar All-America teams for their work in the classrooms.

This was the men's fourth year in a row and the women's sixth year in a row of honors. The biannual awards rewards collegiate swimming teams across the nation for their work in the classroom.

The women's team ranked 70th and posted a 3.38 team GPA fall semester while the men's team ranked 59th and combined for a 3.19 GPA. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the fall semester.

The CSCAA recognized a record 638 teams representing 394 colleges and universities this fall. Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
