Swim & dive makes return to Allred Pool

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University swimming & diving teams made their return to Allred Pool for the first time in nearly two years with a double dual against Caltech and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The women's team split the duals with a win over Caltech.

The women's team were led by a pair of solid relay performances in the relays with an overall third place finish in both events. The 200 medley relay team of Marah Kane, Ashlyn Woo, Kiana Tanizaki-Hudson and Avery Hall combined for a time of 1:53.0. The Panthers also took third in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:41.11.

Hall continued to have a strong individual meet, placing third in both the 100 breast and 50 free. She swam a 1:11.00 in the breaststroke and 25.42 in the 50 free. Kealani Tanizaki-Hudson had the best finish of the day for the Panthers, taking second in the 100 fly with a 1:58.40.

Riley Brownfield took third in the 200 free with a 2:00.06 in the 200 free and Hannah Parulan's 1:01.55 placed third in the 100 back.

The men's team faced tough CMS and Caltech squads but turned in some solid swims. Bryce Grover took fourth with a 10:39.40 in the 1000 free. Colton Lane took sixth overall in the 100 back but defeated all competitors from Caltech with a 55.70. Zach Waddell took fourth in the 500 free with a 4:45.75.

The Panthers head to the Winter Invitational next weekend at East LA College.
