Two divers place at SCIAC Diving Championships

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Mckenzie Abbott and Sydney Rabuchin finished in the top-9 as the Chapman University female divers wrapped up the SCIAC Diving Championships on the 1-meter board. Abbott duplicated her finish from yesterday, placing seventh to lead the Panthers.

Abbott qualified for finals with a 343.25 in the 11-dive preliminary round, claiming the last spot in the finals with a less than two-point advantage. She was able to up her score to 359.50 in the finals and jump to seventh. Rabuchin took eighth place with a score of 349.05.

The SCIAC Swimming Championships take place Feb. 16-19.
