Swim thrives at Redlands Pentathlon

REDLANDS, Calif — Men's and women's swimming broke records and took home victories at the Redlands Pentathlon on Saturday, Oct 15.

The women's team placed first in total points with 4702. Hannah Parulan finished with four top-10 finishes. On the men's side Jason Kim finished with four top-10 finishes, including two first-place finishes, and an all-time school record in the 100 IM.

Kim recorded a combined time of 54.2, including an event-best 24.78.

Bryce Grover finished second in the men's backstroke, and Cole Kershner placed second behind Kim in the IM. Kershner also placed third in the freestyle.

Kiana Tanizaki-Hudson also found herself in the top-five on four separate occasions; the butterfly, backstroke, freestyle, and IM. Additionally, Bianca Bayer finished in the top-10 three times, with two top-three finishes.

The Panthers will be back in action on Oct. 30 in an exhibition meet against Mt. San Antonio College.
