Willman, a volunteer assistant coach last season, became the first full-time assistant coach in program history. He brings with him extensive knowledge of the program, competing as a swimmer for the Panthers for three seasons, including serving as team captain during the 2020-21 season. Willman also earned SCIAC All-Academic honors twice.
Prior to his days with the Panthers, Willman competed at Mt. SAC where he garnered All-American and All-State honors.
He brings to Chapman experience coaching at Golden West Swim Club and the University of Texas Longhorn Swim & Dive camps. While in Austin he coached under a plethora of world-renowned coaches.
Honng, a UCLA swimming alum, joins the Chapman swimming & diving staff as a part-time assistant coach.
