Track & field earns team and individual academic honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Academic awards rolled in for the Chapman University track & field teams as both teams were recognized along with nine individuals. The USTFCCCA annually recognizes team academic achievement with All-Academic awards as well as recognizing individual student-athletes for their athletic and academic achievements.

Both the men's and women's teams were well ahead of the 3.1 benchmark needed to be recognized as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. Additionally, three male student-athletes and six female student-athletes were honored as All-Academic athletes for posting GPAs over a 3.3 and ranking among the top-50 in an individual event or top-35 in a relay.

The Panthers to earn the award on the men's team are Nick Burton, Ewan Shen and Sam Thompson. From the women's team; Kalea Brown, Annika Carlson, Allie Kremer, Kaylee Smith, Khyra Stiner and Zoe Zurasky all earned the distinction.

The nine individual honors are the most in program history.
