Runners set more personal records at UCSD Invite

LA JOLLA, Calif. - The Chapman University women's track team has improved with each race this season. But the results at the U.C. San Diego Track & Field Invitational on Saturday were just plain impressive as the Panthers set nine personal records in all.

In addition, Chapman sophomore Wendy Belanger inched closer to the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.82 and first place finish in her heat. The school mark is 1:01.38 set by Deidre Lowe in 1988. Belanger will get one more shot at the record this Sunday at the U.C. Irvine Steve Scott Invitational.
