CLAREMONT, Calif. – In its second meet of the season, the Chapman University women's track competed in the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers meet on Saturday with nearly 500 other athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III along with several local junior and community colleges.

Freshmen Rose Fruci and Paola Pratt finished third and fourth in the heat, respectively.

The two freshmen then paired with senior Anne Portwood in the 4x100 relay finishing third in the race with a 54.78 time, an improvement of nearly a second from the first meet of the season at Caltech.

Freshman Ema Solarova also saw marked improvement from her first career meet with a long jump of 13.9 ¾ feet. Chapman's next meet is on Feb. 26 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the Claremont Rossi Relays.
