221 Panthers honored as SCIAC All-Academic

Chapman University’s student-athletes matched their record number with 221 SCIAC All-Academic selections in for the 2018-19 school year. The Panthers had the fourth-most selections of the nine schools in the SCIAC.
2019 Athletics Department Awards announced

Chapman University Athletics announced its annual senior departmental awards at the Sports Appreciation Jog-a-Thon earlier this afternoon. The department awarded both male and female Student-Athlete of the Year awards as well as male and female Leadership Awards.
Deeb earns All-America honors

Junior Elias Deeb earned D3football.com All-America Second Team honors this afternoon after a stellar performance this season. The honor comes after the punter was selected to the All-West Region First Team and the All-SCIAC First Team earlier this year.
Special teams stars garner All-Region honors

The special teams of the Chapman University football team earned some more recognition from D3football.com with the announcement of its All-Region teams. Sophomore kick returner Nico Ragas and junior punter Elias Deeb were each selected to the All-West Region First Team.

Two members of the Chapman University football team were honored with SCIAC Athlete of the Week awards earlier this afternoon. Senior Ian Fieber earned the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week while fellow senior Curt Calomeni earned the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week.

A third consecutive winning season was clinched with another offensive outburst in a 55-34 win for the Chapman University football team over La Verne. The Panthers (5-4, 4-3 SCIAC) sent their 22 seniors out with a win in a high-scoring game featuring big play after big play.

The Chapman University football team fell 16-9 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday. Senior Curt Calomeni had a career-best 17 total tackles in the loss.
Late touchdown snaps football's home win streak

It all came down to the final seconds again. Last year, the Chapman University football team scored a game-winning touchdown with no time on the clock to win at Pomona-Pitzer. This year, Pomona-Pitzer scored the game-winning TD with just 3.5 seconds left as Chapman fell 24-21.

ORANGE, Calif. - Sophomore receiver Nico Ragas helped the Panthers to a dominant 62-0 victory over Occidental this past weekend with an opening-play kickoff return for a touchdown, earning him the SCIAC Specialist of the Week award.

Sophomore Nico Ragas took back the opening kick for a touchdown and the Chapman University football team cruised to a 62-0 Homecoming victory over Occidental. The Panthers (3-2, 2-1 SCIAC) scored in all facets of the game and shutout an opponent for the first time since Homecoming in 2014.
