Chapman Athletics hosted another Town Hall on July 28 for student-athletes and their families to deliver updates and answer question on the impact of the cancellation of high-risk sports through the end of the school year.

In accordance with public health guidance and safety standards, as well as NCAA Resocialization recommendations, the SCIAC Presidents have unanimously agreed to cancel conference competition for NCAA categorized high-contact risk sports in the fall semester.
Chapman sets new high for SCIAC All-Academic selections

Nearly half of Chapman University student-athletes were recognized when the SCIAC released its annual All-Academic list today. Chapman set a new program high with 250 SCIAC All-Academic selections, far surpassing the previous high of 221.

Junior Chandler White led the way for the Panthers as they routed SCIAC-rival Whittier 75-56. White, who shot 5-7 from behind the arc in the first half, finished the game with 25 points and six made three-pointers.

A career night from junior Hayden Moore led the Chapman University men’s basketball team to a 63-43 win over visiting Cal Lutheran on Wednesday. Moore poured in 27 points – all behind the three-point line.

The Chapman University men’s basketball team used a strong first half to help carry them to an 82-78 victory over the visiting Redlands Bulldogs (10-6, 3-4 SCIAC) earlier this evening. The Panthers (12-4, 4-3 SCIAC) shot 55.7 percent from three-point range, led by 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc from junior Chandler White.
